Wakefield's Inc. was founded  by John H. and Will W. Wakefield in October of 1922 in Anniston, Alabama as a Men's Specialty store.  Since that time, Wakefield's Inc. has expanded into a complete family clothing department store with great emphasis on customer service. Wakefield's moved from it's original location on Noble Street in Anniston to its present location at 1212 Quintard Avenue on August 18, 1969.

Wakefield's is a very progressive firm iin future planning and merchandise presentation which is evident by our presence in the retail industry for nearly 90 years. One thing that has not changed in all those years is our desire to provide our customers with the merchandise they want and the service they deserve.
